Date: 2017-11-26 03:24 am (UTC)In a huge misunderztanding Ignis overhears the guys talking about him. They're saying things like "If I have to hear one more terrible pun" and "How long til Ignis bitches at me to wear a jacket?"
The guys aren't being mean. They're joking. They mean it all fondly because they love Iggy's dorky puns and his nagging. Maybe they're smiling but Ignis can't see that from where he accidentally overheard them. Or maybe someone says that's why they love Ignis, but Ignis doesnxt stick around long enough to hear that.
Cue an embarrassed and hurt Ignis who thinks he's annoying the bros. So he gets quiet, jokes less, nags less.
Happy ending please where they work it out.
Can be OT4 gen or any Iggy ship. Not fussy. Just here for awkward Ignis and bros.

So, his group of new (boy)friends dote on him, make sure he's ok, get him some new shoes and a tshirt, Ignis feeds him up, Gladio helps him work out the aches and pains in his body at the end of the day, Prompto (either platonically or not) helps him wash his hair and tie his shoes on a morning where he's too stiff to bend all that way.

+Getting the Astrals' blessings by stealing their hearts and later using them by summoning them as personas
++having to enter Mementos to get the royal arms
+++ruined Insomnia is Ardyn's castle
++++Zegnautus is Verstiel's castle, the Tempering Grounds are Gilgamesh's castle
+++++WOR is an extended merging of the real world and Mementos similar to the end of Persona 5
Please no making Promoto a traitor. I know that's where this prompt wants to go what with him and Akechi having the same voice actor, but I would rather not have that happen.

Heaps of clones and MTs, all bearing Prompto's face, from his hair, to his freckles to his smile, and Noct tearing through them, growing increasingly scared that he's passed over Prompto. That he made the same mistake twice and couldn't recognize Prompto.
+ Some of the "Prompto"s he find are nothing like the real, most of them just being empty, rotting husks or half-converted MTs (but there's still the off chance- what if that IS Prompto? His Prompto?)
++ Noct breaking down at some point into a full-blown panic attack (++++++ if this majorly deteriorates Noct's mental state; the situation, the break down, all of it)
+++ Some of the clones having fragments of Prompto's memories, forcing Noct to have to think more than just asking about some trivial event that only Prompto would know, because there have already been five that've known about his and Prompto's closest secrets
++++++ Upon actually finding the real an actual Prompto, Noct just isn't sure, and he's afraid, because this is the 27th Prompto that's promised he's real and that he just wants to go home

The adults love little Iggy. He's polite, well-behaved and quiet. He's the perfect kid.
Then one of the adults do something innocent like tap a wooden spoon or ruler or remove their belt. Cue Iggy reacting very badly because he thinks he's about to be beaten again. Maybe he cries and apologizes, or quietly bends over the nearest table or chair and just waits for it to start. The adults finally understand why Ignis tries so hard to be good.

I'm looking for a canon divergence thing. Prompto attempts to cut or burn the barcode off when he's 14, and succeeds. But the problem is, someone notices what he did and assumed that he was attempting suicide. So he winds up with this rep as "that kid that tried to kill himself" at school. As a result he doesn't end up approaching Noct (but please have them and up friends anyway).
What I do not want is for Prompto to actually be depressed or suicidal. He might be a little closed off now, because the kids at school talk about him behind his back, but it's more.... hm, canon Prompto, if people were making bad assumptions about him.
