So I'm all for the Ignoct ship like it's pretty fucking cute. Ignis dlc even made it more likeable but I got to thinking, it seemed almost one-sided. Not to say Noctis doesn't love Ignis but for him I see it as purely friendship, motherly even. But for Ignis, he really loves Noctis, so much enough to die for even.

I'm also kinda bias toward Promptis but hear me out. I imagine Ignis knowing Prompto likes Noctis more as a friend which naws at him all the time and he sees the way they interact with each so he's low key jealous. Once Altissa happens (Ignis dlc included) maybe that would have been his chance to tell Noctis how he felt but he doesn't even if he thinks Noctis may have feelings for him.

When Prompto got pushed off the train and Ignis calls Noctis, he hears how sad and worried Noctis was, even more worried than he was about Ignis being blind. At that moment, Ignis believed he doesn't have a chance with Noctis anymore.

+More focused on Ignis realizing that yes, he really loves Noctis and the heart ache of knowing his feelings won't be returned.

+Prompto doesn't know Ignis loved Noctis so much but almost everyone know how he feels about Noctis

+It is blatantly mutual between Noctis and Prompto once all of Gralea stuff happen

+Gladio tries to comfort Ignis in all this but Ignis just waves him off, being a supportive friend is good enough

Noctis may not be the most demonstrative of guys but he loves Ignis a lot. The guy is basically his big brother in everything but name.

So when he finds out that Ignis is dating Gladio, who up to now has had a fairly large string of girlfriends, he feels the need to warn Gladio that hurting Iggy will not end well.

It's difficult to give the shovel talk to a guy over a foot taller than you who kicks your ass every day!

At some point in time between the fall of Insomnia and Altisha, the bros run into Libertus, who is able to tell them a lot more about what went down than Monica, Dustin, Iris or Jared combined could, including Drautos being a traitor, Luna being safe and in possession of the ring, Nyx using the ring to defeet Drautos (bc canon does not explain how Ignis knew that in order to reference it in his ep. and it BUGS MEEEEE!)

But, yeah. Libertus and the bros cros paths and give each other a much needed status update

With either Drautos having his one-sided one-upping need with Cor who is either oblivious or just doesn't give a crap, or Gladio trying to prove he's more awesome then the legendary Glaive Nyx and Nyx is just amused that this scrappy guy nine years his junior his showing off to him like a child would. Awkward situations, flirting, teasing, Clarus and/or Regis being trolls, others being so done with these dorks and just locking them in a small space. Just something cute and goofy is all. :D

We know Gilgamesh is Ardyn's old Shield and that Gladio is the only person Ardyn didn't try to mess with.

What if Ardyn was aware that Gladio was undertaking Gilgamesh's trial? I know he was with Noct, but maybe he joined/left the party after/before Gladio met Gilgamesh? Either Ardyn thought that Gladio would die on Gilgamesh's hand or that once Gladio beat Gilgamesh, he would prove himself to be a true Shield?

My eternal gratefulness for Ardyn talking with Gilgamesh about Gladio, if Gilgamesh really thinks that Gladio is "worthy" and if taunting Gilgamesh by saying this like "is he going to be a better Shield than you?".

You can make it smutty between Gilgamesh and Ardyn (I'm always up for hatesex), but just a talk between these two (and maybe Gladio's trial seen by Ardyn) would be enough for me.

And it ends up causing a diplomatic stir since nobody realize they just booted the King of Lucis, aka one of the few functional authority figures in Eos at the moment. Granted it's not their fault only a handful of people even know what he looks like. Cue lots of disproportionate outrage, lots of curious onlookers, and a slightly befuddled, slightly grumbly, but mostly amused Noctis and pals.

Set during Brotherhood era, Prompto has only ever met Ignis when he would pick Noct up from school but never spoken to him and vice versa, while he and Gladio briefly met at the arcade. So Noctis decides to invite the other three over for a fun night playing games and doing other things teen boys do. Prompto is at first nervous and the other two are a bit standoffish to him but they all generally get along and have a great time.

Prompto/Ignis, musical tastes

They all know Ignis loves classical music, but one day, Prompto overhears Ignis listening to terrible, sugary pop music. He assumes that that's what Ignis really likes. He tries to get Ignis to drop the act and stop being embarrassed.

Unfortunately, Ignis really likes both classical and pop and everything in between, so Prompto's efforts are met mostly with confusion and irritation.

Ideally this would end with Ignis taking Prompto out to the orchestra so he can also learn to appreciate classical, and Prompto being surprised he's enjoying himself.
