This is the person who posted the prompt, how close the story follows is up to you. As I mentioned before at the very least the Lucis and Tenebrae invasions should happen and maybe when the game starts that's when the most things can diverge considering that's when Noctis can do the most changes. As for other themes maybe be big sister Lunafreya since Noctis actually manages to bring Luna to Lucis and maybe for the romance with Ignis that can start pre-game during the brotherhood days. That could also be when Noctis has to deal with the most changes with having a female body. Whether or not there is any shown smut is up to you. I don't want to constrict you too much since I want you to have fun if you decide to take it. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

The main reason I ask is the whole True King, King of Kings, King of Light etc.
In a sense, it feels like a defiance of the prophecy.
The obvious thought here being that Regis has another son.
Sort've a one child chosen by the Astrals and one by the Kings of Old.
I thought it was an interesting concept, I understand if it's not what you're looking for.
It was just an idea that came to me, that it's Noctis' job to lead the brother on their journey.
If you don't like the idea, I hope someone picks up the prompt and fills it.

No need to be sorry, I don't bite... much
Well... If Noctis is female, that would make him the Queen.
Unless he was transgender then it would be down to the outward appearance.
Then there's if Insomnia runs by Monarchy hierarchy.
If it does, it would make Noctis the queen and however he marries would be the royal consort.
Basically why if Niflheim decided to kill Noctis, it would go to the person with the more royal blood.
Meaning that if the two was to marry, the throne would rightfully be Ardyn's.
Assuming the King knows this and the prophecy, It would make sense to me that he would have a second child.
It's kinda AU right from the start, but would allow Noctis more freedom.
For example, because he knows of the attack and is injured, he can protect the sibling.
Also means and gives reason why not everything can be changed.
Women have less power in court and Regis I imagine would focus on his son not daughter.
Thus more free time to meet Prompto earlier, but also more challenges.
I don't really want to give too much away but there's a lot of possibilities with it.
Basically adding extra challenges on top of the ones he had previously.
An example being finding a way to get combat training, to travel with the bros etc.
Think of it a bit like Mulan, a bit being I think the bros would figure out it was Noctis.
Unless there was a reason to of course.

That sounds very cool and I really like that idea. The only thing is I don't know if Regis would focus on one child over the other and not give his daughter (I was imagining an actual biological girl as this is based on other fics for other fandoms I've seen where the character was transported back to the beginning but as a girl) combat training since from what we know of Lucian royalty there were queens who fought and Regis seems to a rather modern king if he is willing to put his kid in public school and let them live alone (within reason). Also interesting to see Noctis adjust to now being an older sibling and who would the kids mom Aulea or a second wife?

That is a very fair point with Regis, I just imagined Noctis to be more sheltered.
Not as in not fully trained in combat, but with more focus in and around the court and politics.
Sorry if it came across as no training at all, I was just thinking it was focused in another direction.
That way, Noctis would be working with Ignis creating an early connection.
Mother wise, I had an idea with Aulea and to me makes the most sense.
I just can't see Regis taking another woman into his life for one.
As for the brother thing well... I wouldn't want to give too much away.
Well all the same let me know what you think.

Well I can't say no now can I?
The truth is, the other prompt I still haven't filled could be filled as part of this.
Assuming you are looking for a multi-chapter fill of course.
The only problem is, I think it would be better if I posted it up on AO3.
I don't have an AO3 account yet but I can transfer whatever's written so far.
I hope this wont be an issue, as I think it makes the most sense with all the messages on this prompt already.
I'd better close up this message so I can get to writing.

I have an AO3 account and I do actually prefer that when reading fics because it's easier and that's what I mean when I said long story I meant multi-chapter but I forgot the word. Also out of curiousity what was the other prompt? Thanks for taking my request and good luck can't wait to read it.

Well I can always transfer it across of course so it shall be on there.
The second I get my account of course which doesn't stop me from writing.
Today turned into chaos after the last message so kinda very little done today which is great.
The main thing that's tripping me up is whether to give Noct's name to his brother or use the female version.
Which would be Nox, which is a little close to Nyx.
Let me know your thoughts, it's something I can easily change.

The other prompt was a Drautos / Nyx dependency prompt back on page 11-13.
I found it a couple of weeks ago but been too busy to fill it.
There's a lot of prompts i'd love to fill but i'd never get away from my PC if I did, or never fill them.
I actually started another one which I wont spoil as I may include it.
It was a really good prompt, just kinda got stuck writing it as it lacked something.

Yvw of course, if anyone reading is posted those two prompts i'm sorry.
They will be included in this fill, even if it's a side story.
My writing style is really obvious so there's no point hiding it.
