UPDATE 3/2/2017: Per the Rules thread: Do not hijack prompts. If someone posts a prompt for one pairing, don't comment to say "I want to see this for [other kink]" - post your own prompt for the other kink). To that end, if you are unclear on a prompter's kinks/DNWs, please feel free to ask about them. If you ask about kinks/DNWs or to clarify a prompt, you are in no way obligated to fill it.
Additionally: Do not repost prompts from the previous round in their entirety. By this we mean copying and pasting prompts without any changes. If you see a similar prompt to a prior prompt, that is not a repost. Obviously prompts that are reposted per the above rule do not count either. (After all, they will be similar but not the same.)

Go ahead and keep on filling away, we will open up round three for prompts at 0000 EST, Saturday April 22, 2017.

Ardyn/Many Ardyn/Prompto Daemon have soulmates
Date: 2017-03-25 03:57 am (UTC)Give me a journey of Ardyn accidentally finding the soulmate of some of his Daemons throughout his long lonely life -that is not quite alone after sharing his life with the several soulmates he has found. Give me an Ardyn that still has a soft spot for humanity -only the humans that are fated to be the soulmates of the daemons he carries though.
Give me an Ardyn that is not insane, but still very bitter and planning vague vengeance upon the people who betrayed him.
And give me an Ardyn that finds that Prompto Argentum is one of his soulmates and scurried him out of Niflheim (to Accordo maybe?) in order to protect him. Give me an Ardyn that is confused because he knows Prompto is a soulmate, but can't identify which daemon he belongs to -and then he finds out that Prompto is not a daemon's soulmate, but the Soulmate of Ardyn Lucis Caelum.
Make it sweet. Make it cracky and funny. Have fun. Make it a rom-com trainwreck if you want. If tragedy still strikes make it bittersweet, with a hopeful end.
+10 if the soulmate identifier is a stylized name and Prompto can't read his because it is in Solheim and Ardyn can't understand his because it is a mess of serial numbers.
+100 if one of the previous soulmates was a chocobo (there is no wrong way to love a chocobo amrite?)
+150 Relationship advisor!Ifrit with all the dramatic flares you can heap on (He probably writes best seller bodice ripper novels on his free time)
+1000 Noctis wondering if Prompto having Ardyn's son will give him a ticket out of being King. (Ignis is so, so horrified at this obvious failure on the Prince's education)

. . . What happens if two of the demons are already each other's soul-mates? Does Ardyn constantly have to ignore this love-fest going on in the back of his mind? Does Ifrit write fanfic about them?

I hadn't thought about that possibility but it brings so much potential for comedy and romance hijinks! If the filler makes use of the name soul-marks they will appear on Ardyn's body, no doubt. The poor guy will have two or three names on him at all times and you bet daemons will like to find their soulmate.
He probably has a list of excuses to use every century it happens.
Also, daemons inside Ardyn being each other's soulmate. Yes, this is amazing. You're a genius. Ardyn probably had to marry them (and they would be so, so happy in the sense that they are practically immortal inside Ardyn?) and will live in a state of perpetual 3rd wheel suffering. More romantic comedy hijinks!
But consider: lover spats.
Ifrit totally would write fanfics about them, and about Ardyn's predicament in general. He probably would go the Twilight --> 50 Shades of Grey where he discovers that if he changes a few details he can sell his novel without problem and become filthy rich and famous. (Because no one is going to pray for Ifrit but with this he now has a loyal fanbase that loves him perhaps?)
