UPDATE 3/2/2017: Per the Rules thread: Do not hijack prompts. If someone posts a prompt for one pairing, don't comment to say "I want to see this for [other kink]" - post your own prompt for the other kink). To that end, if you are unclear on a prompter's kinks/DNWs, please feel free to ask about them. If you ask about kinks/DNWs or to clarify a prompt, you are in no way obligated to fill it.
Additionally: Do not repost prompts from the previous round in their entirety. By this we mean copying and pasting prompts without any changes. If you see a similar prompt to a prior prompt, that is not a repost. Obviously prompts that are reposted per the above rule do not count either. (After all, they will be similar but not the same.)
ROUND TWO IS NOW CLOSED FOR PROMPTS!
Go ahead and keep on filling away, we will open up round three for prompts at 0000 EST, Saturday April 22, 2017.

Fill: Welcome Mat (Noctis/Prompto) Part 5/5
Date: 2017-03-01 08:14 pm (UTC)"Decorating," he says, draping a streamer around the backs of their kitchen chairs. He's been up for a little while already and the apartment is covered in cheap but colorful bunting. There are balloons in the living room, drifting aimlessly in the slight draft created by the central heating. Prompto looks very pleased with himself.
"I thought we were gonna do it later," Noctis moans, rubbing his eyes. "Come back to bed."
Prompto laughs. "It is later. It's almost 3, sleeping beauty. We have to go pick up the cake. And Gladio is going to be bringing over the booze soon, too." He unfurls the last touch and starts fixing it to the wall with sticky tack: a large banner he hand-painted reading "Happy 21st, Ignis!"
Noctis sighs. "All right, sure." He wanders out of the bedroom and over to the fridge to get himself an iced coffee. On the way there, his eyes are drawn to another addition to their decor, this one less flashy. He pokes it with his toes.
Prompto looks over and shrugs, ears pink. "I picked that up, too. It was on sale, and I saw it and thought, well, it's going to be snowing soon, and we kind of got mud all over last year, so why not?" He's babbling, just a little. But Noctis smiles.
"I like it," he says. He likes the feeling of the weave under his feet, and it's true, they do need somewhere to put there boots. But more than that, he likes the sentiment. A doormat, for their space, bright and warm, that says "Welcome Home."

Oh, the sap. :) Thanks for this awesome prompt, OP! Hope you like this and that it hit the points you wanted, even though it's kind of short and possibly disjointed. I basically just made it up as I went along, but I had fun!

Date: 2017-03-02 03:39 am (UTC)Aaaahhhh I just want to print this out and roll around in it!! I loved Ignis being nonplussed and poor Prompto's insecurity and Noctis trying to be cool but highkey stressing out about what if Prompto doesn't like me anymore??
This was so sweet and funny and exactly what I wanted! Ignis's reaction to Gladio's gifts was great too. Just shoving the towels in the cupboard like this is someone else's problem now lol. Thank you so much for the fill!!
