Awww, thank you!! Ardyn's such a weird character for me. I found him really annoying for 90% of the game because every time he showed up it was to inconvenience me somehow (I am so bad at driving the Regalia, askdjfkla. I had to redo his stupid driving sections like 10 times). But then I got to chapter 13, which was a clusterfuck for all sorts of reasons, such as I didn't sign up to play Dead Space, why are you doing this me Squeenix!!!, but was absolute genius for Ardyn just talking at Noct in such an intimate and possessive way. And you just realize, Ardyn's been alive for thousands of years just waiting for Noct to be born, and no matter how much anyone else wants Noct to succeed, Ardyn's the one that wants it the most, and everything he's done is to hone Noct like a weapon.

But in the same vein, I could totally see him fucking with Noct just because it's funny to him, knowing everything that Noct doesn't. So yes, what I wanted to say was that it's really nice to hear that the characterizations ring true for you. ♥ (And I'm sorry for the wordspam sldkfja. I only have one friend who is really into FF games, and they are still on chapter 3 and it's driving me crazy wanting to spoil things for them because skdfjlksaj someone please flail with me about how Ardyn and Noct would have the best hatesex ever. Like probably not in this fic, but I really want to write about them having hatesex during chapter 13, and Noct finding Ardyn's daemon face hot, bc at least it's true, when everything else about Ardyn has been a lie. And no one can tell me that after watching Ardyn stab Luna, Noct wouldn't like to stab him about a million times, and um, this scenario ends in hatesex too, okay.)

They would definitely have the best hatesex! I hope you do get to end up writing that fic because that sounds amazing and I agree with first anon that you have been spot on with the characterization which is always nice with these kinds of ships.

Thank you!! It is definitely on my list of things to write, though I also love so many of the prompts on here and want to fill them too... Like the one where Noct goes back in time to when Ardyn was trying to help everyone is so intriguing to me. Because Noct would be the one that knows what's coming and is all suspicious of Ardyn without any cause. I mean, I could see Noct just straight up marching over to Ardyn being all, "You!!!! What are you doing to these people!!!" and instead of the usual smarmy Ardyn he gets this genuine and open Ardyn that completely disarms him. And then he has to introduce himself, and Noct's about to give his actual name but realizes at the last second that Ardyn said his name was Lucis Caelum and he ends up saying Noctis...Izunia, and everything goes from there. *coughs* Anyways! I am just so happy you are enjoying the fill and that there is a decent number of us out there shipping the toxic relationship these two have. ♥ ♥ ♥

Haha! M-maybe... I'll do a New Game + fic where after everything, Noct finds himself pushing the broken down Regalia again, and he just straight up draws his sword the first time they run into Ardyn. And Ardyn knows something's up, bc this is not the naive bratty prince Noct is supposed to be, this is a Noct that has been through a war zone, and how interesting is that.

Haha, yes. It kind of got away from me though, that was not where I was planning to go with it at all!! I thought I'd just throw it up there and try again later.

I'd like to read your other idea at some point too, but the one you put up was really good! Messed with my head haha, I loved it. I'd like to read more fics exploring that subject tbh, really bended my mind, especially the stuff about the ring!
