OP here! The first best thing about this is the timeline deviation. I love how Regis is trying to delay the inevitable. I love how without the chaos of a fallen king and wall that preparations are being made. I was always super indignant about how little thought seemed to have been put into how humanity was supposed to survive 10 years of unceasing darkness.

Ardyn continuing his relations with Regis while picking up the relationship with Noct is both awkward and perfectly within his character as shown here. It's the kind of unique situation that probably only works because the people involved are clinging on to lives that come with an ominous countdown.

The power of the covenants making Noct horny is hilarious, and Noct's ideas of dirty talk pretty face-palm worthy. omg Ardyn's influence on his social skills is very apparent. Gonna think aloud about how to kill you while we're in the middle of sex. Nothing amiss here. No, sir. lmao

Also! The interactions between Ardyn and the Astrals are great! The scene with Gentiana earlier was heartbreaking. And the combative/flirtatious interaction with Leviathan is entertaining as hell. Now! Noct's life is in danger, and Luna lives through the covenants? Can't wait to seee~!

OP is crying! Even when you expect it, it hurts. So good. Have I mentioned yet how much I love the way Ardyn uses endearments in this? His attachment to these mortals is so heartbreaking. So is his attitude towards his own immortality and dealing with 2000 years of loss. And Noct wanting their connection to be special and wanting Ardyn to acknowledge their attachment to each other before the end comes. Ardyn crying, and you know it's not just for the loss of Regis. Ooooh, it hurts so good!

The real reason Naga snatched Prompto is because he is pregnant and she thinks he has her baby inside his tummy.

On one of the stops while on the way to Caem, Iris gets injured. Cue protectice big brother.

Regis and Clarus manage to survive, creating an illusion to make the empire think that they're dead (but they're not). They help the Chocobros on their adventure and old feelings begin to arise between them. Oh and also, Regis can't help but notice how Noctis stares lovingly at his friend hehe

(I may or may not actually be like a third of the way through the fic as I type this reply)

Ardyn using a Slave Crown (from FFVI) to take control of Noctis and turn the Last King of Lucis into a willing puppet.

-The obligatory creepy Ardy sex predator things, obviously.
-Making him fight/kill people he knows, possibly in a mech to make the analogue complete.
-Making him hurt himself to prove his effectiveness.
-Optional hurt/comfort where he gets tescued and has amnesia but gradually gets better.

I want to read this and I don't know why...

Though he acts like he was able to put it back together in Chapter 13, Prompto is still a mess inside. Between the revelations about his past, his crappy home life, and Ardyn's torture, he comes to see Noctis as the only real light in his life. Then with Noctis disappearing, the various traumas of the last 10 years of darkness, and the revelation that all this time Noctis's great destiny is to die to bring back the light as recompense for something that was never even his fault, something in Prompto just snaps.

So of course when he runs into Noctis wandering all by his lonesome right after coming out of the Crystal, he takes matters into his own hands. He'll do anything in his power to protect the man he loves and make sure Noctis doesn't sacrifice himself, the rest of the world and even Noctis's own wishes be damned.

Even if it means gaslighting Noctis, locking him up, even breaking his legs so he can't escape. Even if it means having to go up against his other friends once the truth inevitably comes out. Even if it means acquiring the power necessary to foil Ardyn's plans himself, no matter how immoral the means. Even if it means cursing the gods and consigning himself to eternal damnation, as long as his beloved is safe. Sometimes it's the people you think have the least power you should be the most afraid of.

Gimme something dark.

Oh yes. Especially since it's gone on his older model, so Noctis caking his face in makeup is canon as far as I'm concerned.

I just really want to see Prompto topping the other chocobros. I love OT4 but most fic I see makes Prompto shy and keeps him on the bottom. I'd like to see sexually competent and confident Prompto taking the others in hand and all three of them being surprised and really enjoying it.

I can easily see this. Ardyn "oh noooo" Izunia being all coy and then suddenly. He's a fr eak. That's how he is. After wandering the world that long he's got to be into some stuff.
