Ignis/Gladio or Ignis/Noctis - his partner hides their relationship
Date: 2017-09-28 09:50 am (UTC)Ignis is in a relationship with either Gladio or Noctis who insist on keeping it secret. He agrees initially, thinking they merely want privacy early on, but when six months pass he suggests they tell those closest to them. Gladio/Noct is already out sexually and there's no threat of getting in to trouble with Regis or Clarus.
His partner refuses, making a load of weak excuses, and keeps holding their distance in public; won't even stand too close to him at formal events in case people get the wrong idea. Slowly, Ignis realises that they're not worried about repercussions, they just don't want to admit to their friends that they're dating Ignis, who most of the crownsguard regard as a priggy nerd with no sense of fun.
Ignis may not have the world's highest self esteem but he knows he deserves better than to be treated like an embarrassing secret. Even though he's desperately in love, he ends the relationship.
His partner suddenly realises they've hade a HUGE mistake!
