And instead of acknowleging how miserable Noct is, how it’s broken his heart, Regis just says he’s proud of Noct -- Proud of him for making the grown-up hard choice and realizing and how badly being in a gay relationship would be for the crown.

Heyo, potential A!Anon here!

Would you want Noct to try and cover it up, saying that he's just not that into Prompto anymore, or would you prefer that he's up front and says that the kingdom comes first (or something to that extent?

OP - I think Noct would be upfront, but in a way that reflects how destroyed he is about being forced to break up with someone just because that someone is a guy. And I think he'd be equal parts agonized and bitter about "the kingdom imploding at the possibility of a gay prince" or something like that (He 100% doesn't agree with what he's being made to do, is what I'm trying to say, lol)

No, I get what you're saying, lol. And yeah, I definitely agree w/ you there, just wanted to make sure it was what *you* wanted!

Just know that if I get around to it, it might take a bit because there are (at least) two other multi-chap fills I'm working on, though I might one-shot it and do it earlier. But hopefully I'll get around to it eventually! <3
