I love the idea of this pairing, they've got such a strong power couple aesthetic going on. So I'd love to read fic where Aranea's on her way to becoming Gladio's girlfriend during the years of darkness. Maybe they start hunting together? Sex to let off stress starts to become something more?

Explicit smut would be appreciated, but something without is fine if you think it suits the prompt better!

I've had a bad few days nonnies, so I just want some gross cuddle fluff.

Maybe Noctis isnt feeling well and seeks out Ignis for comfort.

Maybe his old injuries flare up and he's at about 11/10 on the pain scale, but Gladio seems to know how to make it better every time.

Maybe Noct has a nightmare/night terror and Prompto is the one who wakes him out of it, then helps him back to sleep.

Or all of the above, I certainly won't complain!

My headcanon is that Clarus and Regis unofficially adopted scrappy little teen Cor as their little brother.

So when they know that the situation with the empire is going south, not only do they make sure to have a reason to get the boys out of the citadel, they also arrange for Cor to be on external patrol, as per the prologue.

Except Cor's not stupid and demands to know what's going on. When they explain, Cor is adamant he's going to stay and die with the only family he's ever had. Regis and Clarus have to convince him that they need him to survive and have to say goodbye to their baby brother, knowing they'll never see him again.

Ignis is recovering from a broken dominant arm or something else that's not life-threatening but a hindrance to daily life. Gladio can't help much because he's picking up the slack on Ignis' duties, Noctis is like the last resort of last resorts (and vaguely offended about it, but he also once hard boiled his egg baby during a high school parenting project while trying to give her a bath) and Ignis would rather break the rest of his limbs than move back to the Scientia household for help. Luckily, there's someone willing and able to play nurse for a while and who couldn't be worse than Noctis!

(spoiler: it's prompto)

Ignis fully expects to revise the 'couldn't be worse than Noctis' assessment but Prompto is a surprisingly conscientious and earnest caregiver who breaks a lot of his other assumptions as they get closer. ~~and then they kiss~~

When they go into a dungeon pretty far off the beaten path, Noctis has a cough--annoying, but not serious. By the time they're done, it's obviously worse, and they notice he's running a fever. They go to sleep hoping he'll feel better when he wakes up, but instead his fever just rises. His temperature's pretty high by morning, and the cough's starting to take on a wet, thick tone (maybe even waking some of them up from the noise). Noct's weak, achy, and not entirely lucid.

Now everyone else has to make a decision. If they stay in place, they're stuck with camping, which isn't an ideal way to recover for a lot of reasons, but they're pretty safe and unlikely to be discovered where they are. If they move, Noct's either going to have to be supported or carried, slowing them down, and he's not in any shape to defend himself, so any fighting will have them down not one but two people--but they'll have proper shelter and access to supplies/medical care once they reach their destination.

The actual choice the bros make, and how that turns out, is up to the filler. I'm just looking for a very sick Noct being taken care of the best the bros can despite an unfavorable situation.

Ardyn decides to show off just how much better he is at everything than Noctis by driving Prompto out of his mind with pleasure in front of Noctis. Noctis has never gotten even a quarter as much response from Prompto as Ardyn is expertly coaxing out of him, and Ardyn coaxes all of Noctis' most embarrassing sex stories out of Prompto while Noctis stands there humiliated and more turned on than he's ever been in his life.

+++Deeply offended that the Chosen King who's supposed to kill him is a pillow prince with a tendency to fall asleep right after he's come, Ardyn decides to train Noctis up in how to treat a lover properly.

I am an absolute sucker for dad!Cor and I refuse to accept that our boys drifted apart during WOR after all they'd gone through together!

Cor, Prompto, Ignis and Gladio find a house somewhere to operate out of during WOR. It becomes increasingly clear to Cor that he's got three incredibly traumatised twenty-somethings on his hands. Before he quite knows what's going on, he realises he's more or less become a dad to an unconventional little family. Looking out for the three chocobros helps him cope with the grief of losing Clarus and Regis.

+Prompto and Ignis start to platonically share a bed; Prompto needs physical contact and Ignis can't cope with waking up alone in the silence of the night now that he's blind.
++Gladio struggling with anger and wanting to get himself into increasingly dangerous situations until Cor is forced to 'ground' him.

I guess I was inspired by Noctis waiting tables in the moogle chocobo carnival.

Maybe Prompto managed to escape the MT facility as a child but instead of being brought to Insomnia, he was left in an easier safer place- Altissia. He grows up there and when he's of age he gets a job waiting tables at Maagho.

I'd love to see the bros meet him there and one of them being seriously smitten with him.

Cor is a middle-aged overworked and cynical copper who's all but given up on fighting any actual crime in his wrteched hive a city, the (former) Crown City of Insomnia.

Noctis a freshfaced youth from the country, come to the big city to make a name for himself with only the clothes on his back, an old sword, and a ring with a peculiar emblem. He takes a job with the city watch, because appartly a sword and little self-respect are the only qualifications.

Oh and somewhere in the background there's a prophecy that the heir of the late kings of Insomnians, the King of Light shall return to protect and seve his city of old.

TLDR I want a Discworld AU, Ank-Morpork Night Watch Edition with Cor as Vimes and Noctis as Carrot.

When they discover that their FIFTEEN YEAR OLD companion has attempted to take on Gilgamesh, it's safe to say Regis and co are decidedly unimpressed. Clarus, however, is incandescent.

He drags Cor back to their camp by his ear, tosses him across his knee and announces that if he can't instil some self-preservation into the teen's head, he's going to have to try the other end instead.

Cor is torn between dismay at having his behind blistered in front of Regis, Cid and Weskham and amazement that someone actually cares what happens to him in the first place.

Brotherly Clarus & Cor is my jam!

Neither characters are awake.

Noct is a male ballet dancer working for one of the best companies in Insomnia. A position opens for a new male dancer after someone leaves due to injury, and he and Noct develop a rivals relationship before maybe becoming something more.

It doesn't go over well and Noct runs away.

Because Gentiana is a god and Lunafreya has a chosen path and she is going to stick to the script, damn it.

Bonus points for Gentiana being subtly scary/threatening and Luna objecting/backtalking less and less over time.

Noct gets kidnapped and Prompto just happens to be there so he gets taken too.

And to put a twist on how this type of fic usually goes, Noct is the one that gets raped and there’s not a damn thing Prompto can do to stop it. The kidnappers don't give a damn about some commoner kid hanging out with the prince.

Non-consensual, permanent bonding at the behest of the Empire.

Everyone confesses to wanting to jump their handsome Marshal's bones. After deciding Cor clearly needs to destress and what better way than to get laid, Operation Bed The Immortal is put into action.

When they finally get him into their bed, it's worth every second they waited!
