Gen. Noctis + Past Kings; Royal Arms Flashbacks

I saw someone on reddit say that this would be a great way to flesh out the story elements and you know what I just really want it right now.

What if every time that Noctis acquires one of the Royal Arms, the second it slams into his chest, he gets a flashback to a past king? Moments from their lives. And understanding of who they were, how they felt, what it was like to bear their burden. My thinking here is that it would be much more fun to have a connection to the past beyond the ring draining the Prince's life, right?

+ Noctis gets to see his own father go through the pains of ruling, or his own roadtrip.
+ The bros notice nothing when Noctis gets stabbed, it looks exactly the same to them as it does for us in the game.
+ Noctis develops anachronistic habits or reminds Gladio/Ignis/Cor of Regis out of nowhere.
++ Memories of Regis losing Aulea.
+++ Any kind of attempt to guess at lore (eg: why do the Lucian crowns look like antlers SOMETHING TO DO WITH IFRIT? :O)
+++++++ Literally anything to do with Ardyn, all of Ardyn's everything, his past, his betrayal, his fall, his resentment.

This is absolutely an excuse for angst, lore deep diving and a shameless excuse to get more Ardyn. Could get shippy with anyone! Primed for some h/c.
