King Regis gives Ignis the week off for his 20th birthday due to his dedication and hard work towards the royal family (especially Noctis) ever since he was a little boy. While Ignis' uncles gift to his nephew is the use of a small beach cabin located in a nice resort town. Deciding to do something rather reckless for once Ignis' decides to secretly take Noctis with him due to wanting to give Noctis a taste of what a normal life/vacation is like and to take his mind off of impending graduation/adulthood. Because that is what a good friend does and totally not because he is in love with Noctis. However, the trip ends up propelling Ignis and Noctis to finally admit their love for each other.
