Ignis was taken in when he was really young to be a companion/advisor to Noctis. After watching Ignis grow up Regis has become very attached to this quiet, sweet genius child. Almost to the point where Ignis is like a second son to him.

So I want Regis, King of Lucis, giving the shovel talk to the poor unfortunate bastard who first tries to date Ignis.
