Ignis quite literally cannot recall the last time he felt so...utterly helpless and useless. He’d been ambushed of his sight by the man who killed Lady Lunafreya. The very same man who had rescued them from the fall of the meteor. The Chancellor of Niflheim, Ardyn Izunia. He'd ambushed Ignis as soon as he'd finished off a group of MTs blocking the way off the destroyed palatial terrace. Ignis was supposed to meet up with Gladio and Prompto so they could all get to safety while Noctis battled the Hydrean. However, he'd taken a quick detour to check on the prince before leaving and found Noct paralyzed and the Chancellor closing in on Lady Lunafreya with a weapon in hand. He'd quickly thrown a dagger at the Chancellor to stop him from harming the Oracle, but he'd been just a second too late...

Ignis had been so careless as to not pay more attention to his surroundings after that; he’d been solely concentrated on escaping. With the awakening of Leviathan causing chaos all around Altissia, that would have been cause for him to pay great attention. Now as it were, Ardyn had him pinned to the ground, perched atop his back like some overgrown crow. His hand was clamped down over Ignis’s eyes, effectively robbing him of his sight. He had only his hearing and sense of touch to go by. As far as he could tell the battle between Noct and Leviathan was still going strong, and his clothes were no sooner to drying than they had been before being ambushed.

“Calm down, darling.” Ardyn cooed in his ear as Ignis struggled to be free of his grip. “I’ve done nothing to your dear, dear King...even though I felt the dagger you launched into my shoulder before parting with the Oracle. What a lovely present that was.” He forced Ignis's head up, bending the upper half of his body back painfully. “I’ve only come to give you a gift in return.”

Ignis heard the crackle of fire before he felt the searing pain spread across his face. He'd been taught from a young age to have a high tolerance for pain, and had an excellent poker face. He'd been burned, frostbitten and struck by lightning on this journey with Noctis. Had gotten cut, bitten, hit with paws and talons three times his size. He'd always taken it all in stride. But this pain, this was worse than anything he'd ever felt in his entire life. It ripped several screams from his throat. He thrashed, desperately trying to throw Ardyn off of him in vain. The fire continued to scorch his very soul.

“How does it feel, Ignis? Good?” Ardyn spoke again. “Oh, baby...your screams are so tantalizing.” He said the last part in a low, sensual tone. He ground his hips against Ignis’s backside. Ardyn was hard.

Ignis didn’t think he'd be able to take much more. His throat was beginning to feel raw. He couldn't even tell if there were tears pouring from his burning eyes. He could hardly feel anything besides the fire. That was until the fire finally cooled from Ardyn’s hand, leaving a strange numbness in the wake. He was hardly able to catch his breath, as something replaced the earlier pain quickly.

Ardyn pushing into him caused another scream to escape from his mouth. Ignis hadn't felt the Chancellor remove his clothing. The pain exploded over his backside. He felt as if he were being stabbed.

“How do you think Gladio will react when he sees you, burned and with cum leaking out that ass he loves so much? Or think of your poor king, fighting for his life while you take my cock into your greedy body? What about Prompto, that sweet and caring soul. I sincerely hope he doesn't run into any trouble. The Empire can be so very cruel-” Ardyn stopped suddenly with a grunt, followed by a breathless chuckle. He pulled Ignis up again.

Darling,” Ardyn’s voice was hungry and breathy. “You tightened up so deliciously I almost reached my limit. How about a little more...stimulation?”

The fire returned with more force than before. Screaming. Thrashing. Burning...no, Ignis didn’t think it could just be summed up as burning anymore. He somehow found the strength to bite down on Ardyn’s pinky finger when it slipped down from its place underneath his nose. That only caused Ardyn to shudder.

Ohh...yesss… you should bite me harder, Iggy…” Ardyn hissed and his thrusts became harder, more erratic. He stiffened suddenly, heavy breaths pouring from his mouth. Ignis felt the hot, sticky liquid fill him and dread sunk deep in his stomach.

“...you've earned this load, darling...shall we go another round?” Ardyn panted in his ear with a sickening chuckle.

“IGGY!!” The sound of Gladio’s voice was like a godsend, a heavenly mirage over his screams. Ignis wasn't sure if he should trust his ears. As if to confirm, Ardyn made a little sound of disappointment and his hand finally slipped from Ignis’s face.

Gladio’s rushing footsteps stopped short of Ignis's side. He heard wjat he assumed to beGladio’s fist connect with something followed by a quiet, surprised gasp.

“You should calm down, Gladio. Wouldn't want to hurt your precious Ignis more, correct? We were only having a little fun.”

“I'm gonna fucking end you-”

“Shh. So your knight comes to your rescue. How fortunate for you...Iggy.” Ardyn’s painful presence finally left his body. “Oh, Amicitia, see to it that he is given immediate medical attention. His eyesight isn't at all what it used to be. Tata for now.” He laughed as he walked away and the sound seemed to swallow even the distant roars of Leviathan.

“I-Iggy, can you hear me? Iggy!!” How long has it been since he's heard Gladio’s voice even remotely shake?

“...it’s been a long time...” Ignis started, but Gladio spoke before he could finish his sentence. He meant to say it had been so long since he'd heard his voice tremble.

“I know, I'm sorry it took so long. But I'm gonna get you outta here.” Ignis felt Gladio gingerly slide his hands under his body and carefully turn him over. “...shit.” He spoke so quietly his voice was nearly lost under the sound of roaring water.

Ignis managed to sit up, ignoring the pain emanating from his backside. Panic seized his chest and spread throughout his body like blood. Wasn't it day when they'd first arrived at the palace? Why was it so dark?! Was there something over his eyes?! There was only a searing ache when he tried to blink. With shaky hands he reached up to touch his face. His eyes felt...strange...burned, yes...he'd expected that but-but-but...why couldn't he see…?

“...G-Gladio...I...I can't...where are you…?” Ignis can hardly hear his own voice. He reached out, searching through the darkness. He felt Gladio grab his wrist.

“No time, Iggy. We gotta go, now.” Gladio put one hand on his back and one hand under his knees before scooping him up. “...I'm sorry if running’s gonna hurt you.” He started to run, and the cool spray of water from the ocean feels good on Ignis’s face. One small comfort besides Gladio being there…

“Please...please...tell me, what's wrong with my eyes…?” Ignis moves his hands along the front of Gladio’s soaked shirt, trying to find purchase but the fabric was too wet and slippery to get any kind of grip. “I can't see…I can't see...Gladio, I can't see!”

“...Iggy…” Came Gladio’s quiet response.

“Is it...bad?”

“...burned as hell.”

“.......are...are my eyes...open?”

“...no. Please, Iggy...just rest up while I get us back to safety.” Under his fingers, Ignis felt Gladio stiffen. He was trying to say I can't take this, like he had when his father was killed. So Ignis decided to quiet the questions still rising in his throat and allowed himself to lean onto Gladio. It was by adrenaline and willpower alone that he had stayed awake this long...
