At a Citadel party, Clarus notices someone getting a bit too handsy/forward with the prince's new advisor.
He knew Ignis didn't really know many people, and the young man was obviously finding it hard to get the guy to go away, so Clarus, being 100% Dad, steps in and helps by directing Ignis towards Gladio while he shares some stern words with the other guy to keep his hands to himself or face the wrath of Regis himself
