Let's say Noct survives the cleansing of Ardyn & the Scourge from Eoa, but at the cost of his magic.
But see, Noct's magic was innate. It wasn't just something that he used, it was something that was a part of him. Like an extra limb. Something as natural as breathing. And now it's gone.
... That sounded really angsty (and I don't mind angst, if that's what speaks to you), but I'm also thinking of all the really funny things that can arise from this situation:
Having to re-learn to fight, and he keeps throwing his weapons away because he expects to warp.
Randomly dropping things from his hand and being surprised when they crash to the floor, because he expects them to disappear into the armiger.
Losing everything and constantly misplacing things, because before he could just keep it in the armiger and pull anything he needed out of it with a thought and a flick of the wrist.
Not being able to shake the mindset that all what ails him can be cured by drinking a sports drink.
