Noctis really did love Luna, but since she's dead he kinda needs a queen to rule with and bear his heirs. So he chooses Iris, even though he only views her as a sister and his heart currently belongs to Ignis.

Seconded! I'm surprised they didn't actually have a scene where Ardyn disguised himself as Noctis to throw Ignis off during the boss fight.

Noctis is in the new upcoming Dissidia so can I just get something from when he meets Cloud, since we all know he closely resembles another blonde that Noct knows....

Can be snippy in which I have a weakness for Promptis and Cloud becomes a type of stand-in for Noct(Sorry Cloud!) or can become Cloud/Noctis eventually. Or Gen works too if filler prefers.

Some people are dead set on making Episode Ignis ending depressing and I'd rather see some love for the alt ending

So let's have Ignis go through everything in the alt ending and when push comes to shove, he realizes that 'oh my, I'm in love with him and I never realized until now.' But when Noctis comes back he and Ignis get to have the talk about why he did what he did. Let there be soft feelings and tender touches.

+ Noct knew he loved Ignis first
+++ they don't immediately have sex
+++++ Noct tells Ignis that he's never allowed to do that again
+++++++++++ Ignis promises he won't

No war, but the daemon attack on Noctis still happens and he still goes to Tenebrae for treatment and meets and sparks a friendship with Luna. The manor is not attacked and the Queen Sylva is not killed. Noctis and Luna still grow up passing the nptebook back and forth and develop feelings for each other.

Fast forward to years later, when Noctis is 18, the Tenebrae royal family visit Insomnia for a few days and Noctis and Luna take advantage of their time together by banging behind every closed door they can find.

specifically the Jumi Arc. After EpIgnis I realise how easily Ignis could have turned into someone like Alex given different circumstances.

Context: Legend of Mana is an old Square game before they merged with Enix, and in this arc there’s a character named Florina, who is the only one of her race that has healing powers. They were in the middle of a war so everyone decided it was for the good of their people that she kept healing everyone at the cost of her own health. Her knight, Alex decided to put theirn people under the bus by kidnapping Florina to keep her somewhere safe while at the same time hunting people of their already dying race down for their hearts because a thousand of their hearts together could create a healing item that could save Florina.. At 999, Alex ended up sacrifcing their own heart for Florina as well.

So yeah, Ignis as Alex and Noctis as Florina. Gladio as Lady Blackpearl, who was Florina’s original knight before leaving her to Alex while she sets off on a quest to find a mythical sword that might not even exist, chasing a rumour that it has the power to create miracles, clinging to the hope that Florina would last until she finds it.

Basically Noctis likes green tea (the more floral the better) and Ignis likes black tea and that turns into a meet cute.

Sure, he likes being alive but for the love of Eos how could a man who always tried to make sure that Noctis is a good prince - and king - for his people, put Noctis over life of every other single person on the planet? How Ignis could think it would be something good?

I want Noctis to be actually repulsed by the thought of his life being so much more important than the whole world. He has never liked having to shoulder burden of being the Chosen King (even before he knew what that means) and now he has to be happy that Ignis stopped him from wiping off Starscrouge which means more suffering for his people in future?

Yeah, right.
