Gladio/Ignis (One-Sided Caligo/Ignis) + Arranged Marriage
Date: 2018-01-02 06:12 am (UTC)Have Ignis marry Caligo. He's the best option- Noct is arranged to marry Luna when they're older. Gladio is expected to produce an heir for the line of Shields and Prompto is a commoner. Ignis is the best option.
+Cue Gladio being upset because he and Ignis had just started dating, and now this treaty is basically barring Ignis from being with anyone except Caligo, who obviously sees Ignis as a trophy and nothing else
++At the party where the engagement is to be officially announced, Ignis is trying to steel himself by getting super drunk and people can see Caligo is getting annoyed, pulling him aside to speak with him sternly but Ignis won't give in to Caligo's whispered demands and just gets absolutely sloshed.
+++Clarus or Regis finds the super drunk Ignis hiding after Ignis had drunkenly declared if he were allowed he would marry Gladio because Gladio was gis boyfriend but bow he's stuck with this asshole Caligo. Utterly embarassed but still drunk, Ignis is crying and is a mess because he really doesn't want to marry Caligo at all and it isn't fair because his life was planned for him once he became Noctis's advisor, why can't he be allowed to pick the person he wants to marry??
Gladnis - Gladio, WOR abusive relationships
Date: 2018-01-02 06:47 am (UTC)Simply put, Gladio is a mess from not being able to protect Ignis and then Prompto, and then losing Noct to the crystal.
During WOR, he seeks out flings and relationships with people who treat him badly because he likes to be treated like he thinks he deserves.
Ignis is still adjusting to being blind, so he doesn't notice Gladio coming back from hunts more beat up than he should be. Gladio lets him think things are ok. Then finally, Prompto sees Gladio and says something about it to Ignis.
Gladio is guilty about it, while Ignis is guilty about not realizing it was going on.
+ Gladnis can but does not need to be romantic or sexual, I just want to see them deal with it as two people who care for each other a lot.
