What attracted him was the purity of Verstaels passion, his all encompassing love for his field. They shared a brief but intense tryst. As time and the Scourge worked their ways however, Ardyn saw that passion become as easily corrupted as any other.

Enter Prompto, a mirror image of the young man Ardyn once treasured so dearly. Filled with that same fervour for discovery and his art, Ardyn finds himself taken back to days spent listening to empassioned speeches on bedroom floors and gold hair in sunlight.
