Friends, I have never been the type to want fanfic to resemble real life, but I lost my dad this summer and it's about to be my first birthday without him. I could use some fanfic therapy where it's Noct's birthday on the road after Regis dies, and the bros take care of him and make him feel loved. Fine by me if you want to take it in a shippy way or not, as long as everyone is there for Noct.

I prefer the focus to be on the heartwarming bro love rather than on Noct being sad.

Young Gladio is named after a flower, he likes to read, he hangs out with girls more than guys, and he has all these private tutors and training schedules that set him apart from other kids his age. He hasn't yet figured out how to charm the pants off people yet, and as a result he's bullied pretty heavily for being "soft" and "girly."

He tries to keep quiet about it, because he doesn't want his dad to see him as weak, but one day Noct and Ignis find out. They form a tiny Gladio Defense Squad. No one dares try to get through the prince to get at Gladio, and Ignis makes up ridiculous (but still strangely believable) fake laws regarding what happens to people who harass a king's shield.

Due to handwavey magic, Iggy and Gladio are turned into women and are told it will take a couple of days to wear off. The group retreats to ride out the spell at the hotel and arrange for two separate rooms; though the find they have adjoining doors.

Seeing as they are both bi, the boys decide there's no reason to let this infringe on their sex life and so get hot and heavy the minute they hear Noct and Prompto head out for supplies.

Poor Noct and Prompto return early however, and can guess from the noises what's going on next door. Unable to help themselves, they peek through the door adjoining their rooms and find themselves guilty watching the hottest girl on girl action they've ever seen.

Both end up with sticky pants and a guilty inability to look Ignis or Gladio in the face for a while.

My love for de-aged prompts is never ending. So of course I have to make it painful.

The group is fighting a daemon they've never seen before and it hits Noctis with some sort of spell. Gladio tries to shield him but is a bit too late and only gets hit with the residue.

Cue the next day and they've both been de-aged. But this was a particularly nasty daemon and it de-aged them to the worst time possible: right after the marilith attack. Since Gladio wasn't hit with the full blast, he only physically de-aged to eleven and still has the mind of an adult. But Noctis went back to being fully eight years old, just woken up from a coma and still unable to walk.

Cue Iggy and Prompto going to whatever lengths they can to change them both back, while having to deal with an eight year old who's quiet, terrified, has nightmares every night and is constantly in pain as well as a twenty three year old stuck in an eleven year old body going through feelings of self doubt, slight self hatred, uselessness and the pain of watching his loved one suffer while he can't do anything in such a weaker body.

I have a mighty need for Noct telling Gladio and Prompto how to fuck. Maybe Noct has to stay "pure" for his marriage and uses Prompto as a substitute to be fucked by Gladio or maybe this is something the three of them just like to do?

So instead of being driven by a desire for vengeance, Ardyn just sort of breaks, goes crazy in an entirely different direction and spends the several centuries wandering around as a crazy homeless man until mental institutions become a thing, he gets institutionalized in Niflheim and instantly becomes the subject of early scientific scrutiny until a mad military scientist gets the brilliant idea to use him to turn people into scourge-based weapons.

Lucis, fearing Nifleheim's new weapons, sends Cor to investigate these new weapons and he ends up coming back with a mentally ill immortal and a baby, and yes he's keeping them.

- Ardyn still hates the Astrals and the Lucii, so needless to say his first meeting with Regis is "interesting."
-On his good days, Ardyn is his snarky trollish asshole self. He doesn't get to have many of these.
-On his bad days he doesn't get out of bed. On his really bad days he can't be left by himself.
-Prompto grows up to be very defensive of Ardyn and is very willing to kick the ass of anyone who mocks or. Hurts him.
-Prompto still becomes BFFs with Noctis and Ardyn is Not Happy about this, but even he has to admit the kids not that bad and Cor will not stop gloating,

+++++ (if you wanna follow the plot of the game)The Astrals still insist that Noctis is the Chosen One destined to slay the Accursed, but fuck that Noctis is not killing his best friend's dad and he finds another way.

I just want noctis to walk around in oversized clothes wanting to be surrounded by the scent of his alpha or beta. He just feels touch starved and needs to feel like hes being cuddled.

Ignis is so often portrayed as almost superhumanly reserved. I want him to breakdown crying; the proper, guttural sobbing that leaves you unable to speak.

But someone is there to comfort him (OP would prefer Gladio but Prompto, Noct, Cor or even all of them are also fine). Whoever it is holds him all the way through, rubbing his back, stroking his hair etc. and when Ignis finally calms they insist on being the one taking care of him for a change.

Idk Someone broke his mind and now he needs the guys to help ground him in reality.

Teenage Noctis, Ignis and Gladio all admit to a raging crush on their stoic Marshal. Strong, silent and gorgeous, he's a wet dream personified.

When they hear a Crownsguard groaning about Cor's punishments, their imaginations go into overdrive; picturing being put across his desk to be spanked etc. They go out of their way to get themselves into trouble with him, thinking they can bring their fantasies to life.

Cor is bewildered by their sudden recklessness - Gladio ought to know better and Ignis generally never puts a foot wrong. Nor can he understand why when when he wonders out loud what to do with them, Noctis's eager suggestion of "You should punish us!" is so vehemently backed up by the other two.

The boys are sorely disappointed when they find they've gone to all that effort just to end up polishing the weapons in the armoury!
