Prompto - first apartment + shitty landlords

First apartments usually aren't all that glamourous & a lot of the time you end up with a crazy landlord.

Prompto gets his own place but unfortunately his landlord is a dick. If Prompto's unit needs repairs, he gets ignored or his landlord won't stop hassling him about it. Maybe his landlord doesn't like outsiders & singles Prompto out for a noise complaints or is convinced that Prompto is up to some sort of illicit activities.

Prompto doesn't know what to do about his paranoid, pushy landlord but luckily he's got some decently intimidating friends.

Prompto has absolutely no stranger danger awareness. The bros knew about this before leaving Insomnia but never felt it was a serious issue. After Insomnia's fall and they're encountering a lot more unsavory people than they expected and Prompto is completely oblivious to it and more than once the bros have to keep him from following dangerous people. After one too many close calls Ignis breaks down and buys a backpack/child leash combo determines to at least keep Prompto from wandering off and following strangers.

*The backpack is chocobo themed, or shaped like a chocobo(Prompto would never notice the leash)

Prompto loves animals---the cuter the better. What the bros don't realize, is that animals also love *him*. Like, Snow White level. Stray dogs will randomly trot up to him deciding they're now Best Friends; birds will perch on his shoulder while Noct scavenges stuff, sometimes deer even peek into the tent just to sniff and nuzzle him. He has no idea why, but he's not complaining!

They've been through an incredible amount of trauma and it eventually catches up with one of the four who has a really horrific nightmare and ends up wetting the bed.

They're mortified and humiliated but one or all of the other bros are understanding and provide lots of comfort.

Can include sexy times if author wants but I just want the focus to be on the comfort more than anything.

So those new Exosuits in the game look really claustrophobic and I took one look at them and my claustrophobic ass went nope there's no way I could get in that.

SO! I want to see Prompto see these suits before the bros do and he immediately panics, to the point that he just bolts as far away as he can get. The guys see the suits, quickly deduce what happened, and now frantically hunt him down and when they find him the panic and stress has caused him to start throwing up.

I want to see the guys refusing to let him wear the thing if just seeing it makes him panic like this. I don't want Prompto to be forced to wear it, I just want his claustrophobia to kick his ass, the guys to understand that, no, this isn't happening, and make sure he knows he doesnt have to wear it.

BONUS: if you include MT related Trauma and this is how the guys find out about his past

Gladio and Ignis are already in a secret relationship, no one knows about but Clarus have hints and suspicions about it. Clarus is okay with Ignis in fact he worries that Ignis is too good for his son.

*cue Gladio and Ignis fucking scene - maybe Gladio's apartment* while on it, Gladio was asked to be else where (let's say Noctis or Cor); Ignis was upset/angry because it was supposed to be their alone time. Gladio decided to get kinky with Ignis and tried something 'new' for a change. Gladio tied Ignis to the bed, blindfolded, a vibrator plugged inside Iggy's set on the lowest setting. Gladio then left.

*20 mins or so* Clarus went to Gladio's apartment *you make an excuse why, hahaha~* He went to Gladio's bedroom to see Ignis there and tied up. He invited himself.

Ardyn/Prompto, Prompto the daemon charmer

One night Prompto finds a poor little animal out all on its own in the dark. He takes it back to camp, but it won't go in, and once he gets a better look...oops. Daemon. The weird thing is, it's not attacking. In fact, the whole time he was talking to it, it listened. Now it'll do whatever he says. In fact, if he gets the chance to soothe them a little, any daemon gets weirdly docile. It raises a lot of questions, but hey, it comes in handy when they travel at night.

Totally unrelatedly, when that Ardyn guy shows up to guide them to Titan, he sure seems to listen to Prompto a lot more than most people are willing to. In fact, whenever Prompto suggests something, he seems to happen to want to do it. Even after it turns out he's the Chancellor of Niflheim, he keeps showing up to say hello and get a little more attention. He just finds something about being around Prompto very calming. It's like he can think a little more clearly, and remember a little of who he used to be. The guys are weirded out at first, but hey, Prompto has him wrapped around his finger.

Eventually they figure out why.

But by then, Prompto's gotten attached.

Prompto/Nyx - Prompto never finding out about Nyx's fate until the very end

I'm a sucka for PromNyx. I feel like no one would really know Nyx's fate, save for maybe Luna and maybe Libertus, but neither can find and tell Prompto so Prompto just holds on to the thought that Nyx is out there somewhere, surviving, that he'll come back to Prompto eventually. It's one of the thoughts that keep him sane and optimistic during WoR, that Nyx is out there fighting and protecting others. And when the sun comes back and the demons are gone, Prompto will find him and they can finally be together.

Only to have his heart crushed when him and his friends reach Insomnia; Noctis finds Nyx's weapons but Prompto waves off the bad feelings he's getting and then he reaches the throne room and Nyx's body is staring at him from the ceiling.

Ignis was very pleased with the last meal he cooked for Noctis. A simple breakfast omelette, as necessitated by the King's picky eating habits and the magic he was imbuing the food with. The spices had a slightly bitter tang which mellowed into a full, almost sweet flavor. Prompto declared it orgasmic in one breath and in the next asked suspiciously what kind of eggs Ignis had used.

"Normal ones," he replied, staring Prompto down until he gave in and asked for seconds. Ignis was relieved he didn't need to lie, and moreso that he hadn't needed exotic eggs. He'd have been in trouble if he'd needed to work this particular magic with fresh ingredients; there'd have been no time to gather them after Noct returned.

The other half of the necessary components were in his cup. Though he'd made sure to have one drink a day since he'd learned the spell and its requirements, the brew still tasted vile, and it was all he could do to keep each sip down. The thought crossed his mind that it tasted like death, which. Well. Of course it did.

He'd expected to feel a pull, some kind of connection to his King as proof that the ancient protection had been successfully invoked. But even as they walked into Insomnia, he wasn't positive. Faith made very poor armor, in his opinion, but he hardly had a choice.

Since becoming blind, he'd had greater need of books than ever before. The Six were cruel that way. He had been certain that Ardyn must have left a trail through history, and that the lore of the Lucii had to have been recorded somewhere. He'd been to Gralea again, and to Tenebrae, and once to the ruins of the central library in Insomnia. Necessity demanded that he travel with a companion who could read – preferably someone who was incurious and who wouldn't tell anyone what he was researching. Talcott was, unfortunately, a bit too much of a scholar himself, and clever enough to be able to piece together that Ignis was looking for weapons – any knowledge that could be used to help Noctis defeat Ardyn decisively, and restore the world to light.

What he'd finally stumbled over – literally – was a set of scrolls left behind in a hut outside Taelpar Crag by a scholar who'd lost her daughter to the Tempering Grounds. She'd wanted to petition King Mors to end what she'd called human sacrifices to preserve the immoral reign of the Kings of Lucis.

Ignis thought of the rites and rituals painstakingly described as more of an instruction manual. Ways to lend power and strength to the reigning king, instructions for partaking of the sacrament of royal magic to warp through space and summon weapons, brutal training regimens, and ways to purge the self of all but the will to serve. He mentally dismissed all the techniques that were – or had been – extant in King Regis' time, and focused on those which had been abandoned in the past. One that he found most intriguing was called simply the bond. The head of the Crownsguard up through the time of King Cautis had formed – willingly, the text emphasized – this bond with the king. Should the king die, the Six would take the life of the Crownsguard head instead, as penalty for the failure to protect the king.

Ignis was not the leader of what remained of the Crownsguard – Cor had assumed that role de facto – but he was the most expendable, and he was willing. For his King, for his country, for the future, what wouldn't he give?

Finding the ingredients and recreating the spell had taken a long, patient, and secretive year. The hardest thing to hide was how happy he felt to have made this choice. Gladio had always been perceptive, and Ignis worried that perhaps Clarus had told him about the bond's existance. But after a few months of probing questions, Gladio finally took Ignis out hunting and told him at camp, seated next to him by the fire, "If you've met someone, I'm happy for you, you know that, right?" His knuckles had rapped Ignis' knee almost playfully. "I'd like to meet them."

To correct Gladio's mistake would have been a serious error. Ignis just smiled down at his cup of tea (no beer or coffee; post-apocalyptic life was hell) and shook his head. "Not yet," he said. "But you will."

His faith that Noctis would return was certain. He would defeat Ardyn; the sun would rise again; Noctis would become the king who united all of Eos, as he'd sworn to Prompto. Ignis wished he could see that future become reality, but then again... he wished he could see many things.

When Noct returned, he'd have given so much see him one last time, though over the years Prompto had become nearly as good at descriptions as he was at taking photos. He told Ignis how Noctis' hair was graying and his face had grown into adult lines – he looks a lot like his father, he said. Ignis could nearly imagine it, and that would have to suffice.

Now, confronting Ardyn before the Citadel, Ignis realized he'd forgotten that the bond might very well have existed when Ardyn was in line for the throne. His hands went clammy as he tried to avoid attracting attention; with one poisonous, truthful comment, Ardyn could make Noctis falter and doubt. How fortunate, then, that Ardyn only had eyes for the King, and not his retainers.

And then Ardyn was dead, and the Lucii needed to be summoned to redeem their promise and restore the light. Noctis returned to the throne room alone, and Ignis fought wave after wave of daemons, no longer held at bay by whatever power Ardyn had held over them. He knew he could not afford to fall in battle; as he'd held his faith with Noct, so now Noct was trusting him, even if he didn't know it yet.

He felt when Noctis died, pain stabbing through his breastbone and sending white-hot fire up and down his spine, and allowed grief to stagger him for just a moment before pouring his remaining energy back into hope. The daemons melted away, and Prompto fell into Ignis' side with a gasp, or a sob. For a long moment, they leaned against each other – either that or fall – and then, as Gladio rallied, finally, slowly jerked into movement: back up the stairs, up to the hall, to the throne, where –

"Thank fuck you can't see this," Gladio said, voice raw with unshed tears, and at the same time Prompto pushed forward, saying, "Help me get him down, please."

The sound of a body being lowered to the floor, and a sickening scrape of steel on stone; Gladio muttering on three, I pull you push; and then...

I am willing, Ignis told whatever gods would listen, as the pain blossomed through him. He thought he heard Gladio exclaim, and imagined Noct blinking his eyes open; he smiled, even as he felt his spirit tear free of his lifeless body and the world was around him no more.

Small Chocobros: Taking Care of Foster Kittens

After the Marlilith attack and before going to Tenebrae, with tiny!Noctis still weak and in his wheelchair to get around. He's been really quiet and more timid and subdued since the attack, physical therapy isn't going great, and Regis, his doctors, and tiny!Ignis are all worried.

Then one day on a walk/etc, Ignis hears Noct *shout*, excited like he hasn't been since before the accident: Ignis finds him almost turning his chair over trying to get to some newborn kittens he's found. They set up a mini-stakeout with tiny!Gladio (and maybe tiny!Prompto if you can fit him in there? Like Cor adopted him or something? Idk) and when the momma cat doesn't look like it's coming back, they take the kittens to Regis and beg to be able to take care of them "just until they're big enough to be okay!"

Regis' advisers about lose their minds with what amazing PR this is, it's not a permanent situation, and Noct *is* sedentary enough at the moment to dedicate most of his time at present to the kittens' care. Ignis makes a Very Official Presentation for their case, Gladio swears to protect the kittens with his LIFE, Prompto cries, Noct looks just like his mother...and their parents all fold like a cheap suit.

+Super!protective small Gladio: "Oh my goodness, are those kittens-"/"You can't touch them okay?!?!?"
++Ignis getting incredibly medically certified in a very short amount of time, because he doesn't want Noct to get hurt if any of the babies don't make it. He can now add Neonatal Kitten Expert to his resume and is a kitten-formula Top Chef.
++++Noct falling in LOVE with fostering, and helping the kittens to grow up and get stronger seems to improve his own headspace and help him push himself further at PT sessions.
+++++++Prompto is constantly sleeping over to help out (let's face it, they all are), helps name them, and takes a ton of pictures to help them get adopted.
+INFINITY tiny kittens crawling all over infant Iris, on Regis during naps, even on the throne. Tiny kitten photobombs everywhere (+Uncle Carbuncle.)

Would especially love it if Noct wants to keep fostering, and it's just a thing he does as he grows up. (It would be much harder for Ardyn to menace a guy with a carrier bag who has to keep taking breaks to feed his bottle-babies, one imagines...)

Gen Chocobros + Homeless Prompto Would Hang Out On The Citadel Steps

Regis and Clarus and Cor often see a blond teenager hanging out by the Citadel stairs, usually playing with Umbra. They would say hello to him and everyone knows Cor developed a bit of a soft spot for the boy, sometimes sharing lunch and sitting with him.

+Prompto became a bit of a fixture and most of the staff says hi or gives him food. Umbra loves his company

++Noctis meets him first, and Ignks and Gladio were a bit wary because it's clear Prompto is homeless, but they warm up to him soon enough

+++Regis sometimes sits with Prompto and tries to offer help, but Prompto always refuses as he doesnt want to be seen as that homeless nif refugee who took advantage of the king

++++Cor ends up adopting Prompto after much consideration (and he overheard Prompto telling Noct how his adopted parents kicked him out after getting paranoid about having one of the enemy in their house. Noctis had to calm Prompto down after that and Regis actually came to see what was happening because god forbid anyone be upset in his home)

The bros take on a hunt for [supernatural creature of your choice]! Ghosts, vampires, kitsune, the physical manifestations of your greatest fear, whatever you want.

+ Ignis is the only one who knows anything about what they're fighting. Unfortunately, Ignis is possessed/kidnapped/unconscious/otherwise unable to impart this information.
++ at one point they say, screw this let's escape and rethink our plan. They can't escape.

Ignis/Prompto - Prompto is badass

Ignis and Prompto are lost out in the wilderness and Ignis is seriously hurt. Prompto proceeds to be super competent and badass – treating IGnis' wounds, getting them to a suitable shelter, defending them from beasts/daemons, finding food and clean water, etc etc.

Honestly, Prompto is just as surprised as anyone – he's really stressed out and totally winging it, but it all still somehow comes together.

+ Ignis runs a high fever and admits to liking Prompto on the chance he'll die and never get to say it OR Prompto confesses to liking Ignis, thinking Ignis is too out of it to hear/remember.
