In an alternate reality after Noctis gives his life for his kingdom, him and Prompto are happily married, Insomnia and Lucis never fell into darkness, Regis is alive and supportive, Ignis never went blind and is with Gladio, Lunafreya was never killed and the people of his kingdom adored him and his spouse.

If only it could be real, instead of an illusion created in the afterlife.

Luna was never the oracle in this AU. In fact, the world has no oracle. Her mother was the last oracle until she was killed after healing kid Noctis.

The story goes normally, until one day, Noctis' friend Prompto suddenly awakens as the Oracle during their second or third year of high school. He must be taught about responsabilities and his duty to help Noctis (Regis was worried that there would be no oracle to help before Prompto's powers awakened).

What happens after his powers awaken is up to the filler. I just ask for one thing... for neither Prompto or Noctis to die T___T

Sometimes the thought of going through a pregnancy is fine. Sometimes it is a nightmare parade. I'm in the second camp.

Bonus: The surrogate is someone like Luna, Cindy, or Aranea, and they are made godmother/auntie to the baby

Prompto gets raped by anyone (except one of the chocobros). He does his best to hide the experience, but since he gets marked easily, the marks from the event are taking a long time to fade.

He is in a relationship with Noctis, so when one of the bros sees him without a shirt, they noticed a couple of still fading hickeys and bruises (which they mistake for hickeys as well ebcause they are fading), they thought that he cheated on the prince.

The prince is heartbroken and Gladio and Ignis go into overprotective mode on him, trying to push Prompto away and telling him that they would leave him in the next town. Prompto is too ashamed to tell the truth of what happened, so he stays silent. Until they arrive in town and Prompto sees his rapist again, and the bros caught him trying to have his way with Prompto again and suddenly it's clear that Prompto didn't really cheat. He was the real victim in the situation, and the bros feel like douches for acting so cold towards him while he was hurting.

Gladio has a tough job, being Noct's shield. Somewhere along the way, however, he unconsciously starts to consider Ignis and Prompto the same way - He needs to protect them, too.

So imagine how he feels when someone eats shit in battle because he couldn't protect them.

Plus how he hasn't had a chance/been able to properly grieve his own father.

Plus the effort of keeping up his Big Strong Gruff Guy demeanor.

It wears on a guy.

At some point, Gladio just. Breaks down. Cue lots of love and hugs from the other three until he's back on his feet.

A merchant or noble has come to discuss trraties with Insomnia, and the dude slaps Ignis across the face

++Ignis said no the visitor's multiple offers for sex, so he slaps him. The incident is very puvloc as well, so people definitely saw what happened

So something happens to Regis - illness, heart attack, assassination attempt, whatever, that more or less completely wipes him out for awhile.

Which means Noct has to step up for a bit and attempt to run the show in his Dad's stead until he's better (With Ignis' help of course).

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY.

I want Noctis also trying his best to look after Regis in his convalescence, even if all he can offer is moral support. Gimme some Father/Son bonding time!

Prompto's parents survived the fall of Insomnia but Prompto is none the wiser until Chocobros encounter them while running around a town.

Prompto is devastated - finding out that his family survived only to be abandoned by them. The rest of the Chocobros are furious.

So I saw in tumblr a post saying young Reigs looked like Prof.Sycamore, and as this proffessor has interest in your mom in pokemon X gave this idea. Long story short, Regis and Grace get marries and the main character becomes a royal.

So now we know in explicit detail about how Gladio got all scratched up playing Tomb Raider with Cor, and there's been a lot of great fics out there speculating about the scenario where Gladio first got injured stepping between Noct and a bully.

I want the aftermath of that, with Gladio's family reacting to this reminder, literally in their faces, of their duty to the crown.

Who picks Gladio up from the E.R.? (How does Clarus feel about hospitals after losing his wife?) Does Clarus trust Gladio to handle security on-scene because it's his job and he knows he can do it, or does he race to him and try to fold Gladio back under his wing? How do Clarus and Iris react seeing Gladio with that giant gash on his face the first time? Does Clarus treat it as a rite of passage and try to brush the incident off (does he fail?) or is he unable to handle it casually as a parent?

How does Iris handle the reminder of the heir/spare dynamic in their family, or that no matter how much they all love each other, there's this whole experience/mentality Gladio and their dad share that she'll never be able to touch? Is she secretly glad it isn't her? Does it change how she thinks of her family's heritage that this happened to her brother and everybody's trying to treat it as normal? Does she get frustrated with Noct at all?

How do other soldiers (Kingsglaive, misc Crownsguard) and the bros react to see Gladio strutting around with a giant, red scar and stitches all over his face like "Well, it's a Tuesday..." If he has an LI (good w/any pairings or none), how do they take it? Does Regis try to commend Gladio and is there either tension or attempts at comfort between Regis and Clarus as a result?

I just really want to see this play out in a really bittersweet way, where Gladio is a Very Good Soldier and everybody knows, but it breaks their hearts to have to watch him get hurt anyway no matter how fine he says he is, bc they love him, dammit! Gladio deserves to be fussed over - even if he hates it, lol.

Slavery is legal in almost every nation except Lucis, but Lucis does have extradition agreements with most nations to send back any escaped slaves they might find.

Slaves are marked with a barcode on their wrist.

Prompto was owned by an Imperial general before escaping at a young age. Sometime just before Prompto is to set out on the trip with the bros, he gets found out via means of anons choice. Regis is heartbroken to be forced to extradite his son's best friend, but has no choice if he wants the upcoming treaty negatiations with the Empire to go well (fat lot of good it did, but I digress...)

Fast forward to Altisha and Prompto is there with his master, who is part of the Imperial occupation. The trial of Leviathan happens an Prompto is...

It's very convenient that Ardyn has shown up to help the guys get to the Disc of Cauthess, but there's something extremely important they need to take care of first - sidequests. There's hunts to do and and trucks of vegetables to find and really annoyingly hard to spot bear traps to disarm, and a whole backlog that needs clearing out.

So, hey, their new buddy might as well come along.

I just want to see Ardyn out on the road trip, getting a kick out of all the open world faffing about. Either gen or porn is welcome, though I prefer goofy weirdo gentleman sack-of-monsters Ardyn, so I'd like it consensual if it goes in that direction.

Ignis is a veterinarian and Noctis is seemingly some random guy who found an injured animal (could use the quest cat or perhaps even Umbra or Pryna) and brings it to Ignis. Noctis is actually still royalty or comes from some super important family, but Ignis is far too busy to watch the news and has no idea. Cut to sweet fluffyness with optional smut... and they all (including the animal that brought them together) live happily ever after.

I've read some amazeballs fics where Noct was captured as part of the initial invasion, and he remains defiant in the face of all sorts of nasty things. I love those fics. I really do. Buuuut, I'm also a sick motherfucker who likes when strong characters hold out as long as they can but still inevitably break after being placed under enough pressure for an extended period of time.

Potential author anon doesn't even have to write any torture scenes if they don't want. I'm more interested in an outside POV seeing the results of like... a year of Noct being in enemy hands, isolated and starved and beaten (and myriad other nasty terrible things) and seeing other prisoners getting killed for his defiance, etc.

I don't really have many DNWs, except that... how do I explain? I don't want him to be reprogrammed. He can be obedient and scared and without willpower, certainly (and bonus points for him continuing to act like that around his rescuers, or even trying to fight his rescuers because he fears punishment). But please no forgetting who he is or thinking that he's an object or a pet or anything like that.
